Solution To whisper another player, type /<name> <message> (without the <>). If you are whispering someone with a space in his/her name, replace the space with a pipe symbol (|). If the furre is near you, you can also right-click his/her name and select "whisper" from the scroll-down menu.

Here's a handy tip: CTRL+J brings up the name of the last player you whispered, while CTRL+K brings up the name of the last furre to whisper you. You can press these key combinations multiple times to cycle through a list of names.
