My account or credit card has been used to purchase Furcadia items without my authorization.

We are very sorry to hear that your payment account or credit card has been used without your authorization. Please follow the steps below, if you suspect your payment account or credit card may have been used without your permission:

  1. Change the password of your payment service account. Do not write it down, or share it with anyone. Do not use a password you use anywhere else.
  2. Scan your computer for viruses and trojans. If you do not have a virus scanner, you can scan your computer for free here.
  3. Contact us and describe your situation. Please attach the email address you use with your payment service with your message, and any transaction IDs you can find, if possible. The more information you can provide, the quicker we can locate the payments in question
Please do not file a chargeback complaint with your credit card company company or payment service regarding the unauthorized use before you have heard from us. If the credit card company receives a complaint regarding a payment, it will have to freeze the payment and start an investigation, which will take a lot longer than our own measures and may lead to a suspension of your Furcadia account.
